Where did I go?

6 (SIX) months ago, I said I’d publish more in 2026. On January 1st, I was “more encouraged than ever” to dive in.

Then I didn’t. It’s mostly been radio silence since then.

So .. where’d I go?

I left CarePortal after nearly five years. Went all-in at Notion State as Head of Engineering, a path I’d spent a year building on nights and weekends. We bought our first house. Had our third kid. And a few other things.

I guess when I frame it that way it does make more sense why I went quiet.

But if I’m honest, busyness was only part of it. I think I wanted the ground to feel solid under me before I said too much out loud. It does now. And I’m more thankful for where I’m currently at.

So I’m back to it, out loud, like I said I would. First up: what going from zero to three (THREE) kids did to my capacity. It should have wrecked it .. it didn’t.
